Two Feral Kittens, Same Spot, Different Time, One Mystery!

A transportation company in North Carolina found two kittens in their yard, a few days apart. The first one was a fluffy, grey kitten named Peterbilt, who was happy to see the rescuers from Sparkle Cat Rescue. The second one was a calico kitten named Polly, who was hiding in a bus wheel well and meowing loudly. She was scared and hungry, but she came out for some food and was rescued by Stephanie, a volunteer with Sparkle Cat.

When the rescue team arrived at the yard, Stephanie held Polly in a blanket and comforted her. Stephanie also looked around for more kittens, but there were none. She didn’t know where Polly came from, or if it were related to the first cat. Maybe they came from a house nearby, or maybe a mother cat carried them there.

Brittany, a rescuer from Sparkle Cat admitted to searching the entire surroundings as they went to rescue Peterbilt the first cat. However, they found no trace of any more kittens in the area.

It then, came as a surprise when they got a call a few days later to come to the aid of another cat in the same yard. They found a house some blocks away and wondered if the kitten had walked the long distance by itself.

Both kittens are now in foster care and doing well. Peterbilt has got himself a cute nickname, “Peter Peter the messy messy eater”, because he loves to eat and make a mess. He is growing fast and healthy under his foster mom’s care.

Polly and Peterbilt are lucky kittens who found their way to safety and love. They are ready to find their forever homes.
