Many kitty queens are very aggressive when it comes to their kittens. They don’t trust anyone who comes near them or their babies. This is especially true for stray and feral mamas who have lived in the wild. But some of them change their attitude when they realize they have a loving and caring foster mom who wants to help them and their kittens.
One of these mamas is Christine, a beautiful tabby cat who fell in love with her foster mom, Megyn the Kitten Konnoisseur. Megyn gave Christine and her two kittens comfort. She taught them the meaning of love and helped them feel safe and happy.
Christine and her two newborn kittens were rescued by the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter in Georgetown, TX. But Christine was very nervous and stressed in the noisy shelter.
Luckily, Megyn was working in the kitten nursery when they arrived. She understood immediately what Christine was going through considering she knew how to foster cats. It was at that moment that Megyn decided to take them home with her.
She wanted to provide the best foster home for Christine and her kittens and in her mind, that was the least she could do to help.
At Megyn’s home, Christine was happy to see a cozy and quiet place for her and her babies.
She knew right away that it was the perfect home to raise her babies. The aggressive Christine even let Megyn pet her and thanked her with purrs.
She liked her new home very much. But she was still very protective of her kitten boys and watched them closely as they started to explore.
Christine stood strongly between her babies and any person. You can meet Christine, but not her boys. Yes! That’s how protective she was of her babies.
As time went by, Christine learned to trust Megyn more and more. She allowed her to touch and play with her kittens as they grew bigger and stronger. But she always kept an eye on them, just in case.
You can’t help but love how this mama cat protects her baby boys, Chip and Dale. They are always under her watch.
Now that Christine knows she and her kittens are safe with Megyn, she has become a very sweet and affectionate cat. She often hugs Megyn’s leg to show her gratitude. She also helps Megyn with some household tasks.
Christine and her kittens are a wonderful example of how fostering can make a difference in the lives of cats in need.
Megyn perfectly understood that the mama cat only wanted the best for her babies after all that she had been through. She didn’t hesitate to provide them with the peace and affection that they needed to thrive.
Christine and her babies love their foster mama, Megyn, and she loves them more.
