There are many cats and kittens on the street, and they are all different. Some strays stay away from humans and take care of themselves, but others come to ask for help.
That’s what this special tuxedo kitten did. She came to a family’s house in Orlando, Florida, meowing for attention as if she needed help.
When the woman opened the door and saw the tiny kitten, she saw that the kitten was very sick.
The kitten had a respiratory infection and some problems with her face, like a cute “wink” on her eye.
The woman did not hesitate. She took the kitten and brought her inside. Then she contacted Liberation Cat House, a cat rescue in Orlando, Florida, that could help the kitten.
The kitten was given to the cat rescue, and Ashley, the director and foster of Liberation Cat House, took care of the kitten.
The kitten was safe and got a fun and unique name – Bug. The finder had been calling the kitten Bug since she found her, and the name stayed.
They found out that Bug was a six-week-old kitten with one eye and one nostril.
Her other eye and eyelid did not grow well, and the iris in her open eye was not complete.
Ashley also mentioned that Bug has searching nystagmus, which is where her eye has fast movements that she can’t control.
According to the doctor the kitten was born with very little vision in that (open) eye if she’s not blind.
Bug did not let her condition stop her. When she got to the rescue, she started to explore her new place. She was very happy when she found toys.
She also liked to play and run around, and she was a sweet lap kitty.
To Ashley’s surprise, Bug got used to her new place very fast. She was calm, brave, and curious.
Most kittens need more time to get used to a new place, but Bug was different. Ashley acknowledged that the little kitty was very easy to handle and took her medication without struggle.
Bug is a happy kitty who likes her little adventures, even with her challenges.
At the rescue, Bug got the best care for her eyes and her heart, so she could have a good life.
Bug wears her permanent wink and her cute smile, and she does not let anything or anyone bother her, not even the vets.
When she went to the eye doctor, she just played and talked to the staff, and made them laugh.
Bug was a small kitten who needed help, but she had a strong spirit and got a new chance at life.
The rescue team hoped that someone would love Bug and give her a home, even with her condition.
Luckily, Bug found her forever human soon. A woman named Lisa from Pittsburgh saw Bug and wanted to adopt her.
Lisa had experience with special animals and wanted to give Bug the best care.
In Pittsburgh, there was a heart doctor for animals to check Bug’s heart. And Lisa had other cats at home, who liked Bug and made her part of their family.
Lisa knew that many people loved Bug, so she made an Instagram account for her, so her fans could see her new life. If you want to see Bug’s life now, you can follow her!
