Gizmo is a superhero Calico kitten that lives with her family. The only difference between Gizmo and the other superheroes is that she is without a cape. This calico kitten is very brave with a coat of many colors and bright green eyes.
The Perkins family loved her, but they didn’t know just how brave she was until one night. Ron, her owner, fell asleep on the sofa. That night, Gizmo did something amazing.
She started meowing loudly, trying to wake Ron up. She knew something was wrong. Ron woke up, confused, and saw smoke filling the room because an oven mitt had caught fire on the toaster.
Gizmo’s loud meows had saved Ron just in time. He put out the fire and woke up the rest of the family. They were all safe because of Gizmo.
Ron was so thankful. He mentioned that the cat definitely saved his life! He believed if Gizmo hadn’t woken him up, he wouldn’t have made it.
Gizmo became the family’s hero. As a result, they gave her lots of love and treats to say thank you.
Warren Brown, who owned the house, was amazed. He said, “I’ve never heard of a cat saving the day, but she did. She saved us all. She should get an award.”
People say cats have nine lives because they’re so good at escaping danger. Gizmo seemed to use one of her lives to save her family. It equally showed that heroes can be small and furry, too.
Gizmo’s story became famous in the town. It also reminded everyone that heroes can come in any size, and sometimes, the bravest ones are those with paws and whiskers.
