A kind-hearted lady in the Indiana countryside discovered a big surprise in her barn one-morning last month. He heard an animal screeching in the barn while he was doing farm chores and followed the sound until he found a small feline.
It was a small kitten, about ten days old, lying alone on the ground, terrified and frozen.
The woman quickly gathered some straw and wrapped the kitten in it in an attempt to keep her warm and safe from the elements.
After waiting many hours for the mother to return, there was no sign of her or the other kittens in the area. So he decided to do something for the little girl at that moment, especially since the kitten’s temperature had begun to drop drastically.
The mother hurried back home with the cat and tried to feed it as best she could, but the little girl refused to eat. Knowing it was a job for a professional, she sought help from Catsnip Etc, a local animal rescue organization.
Catsnip Etc volunteer Missy McNeal said:
When we went to retrieve the kitten, he was hungry, dehydrated and infested with fleas.”
She received adequate nutrition with the help of a shelter volunteer so that the little girl, who was nicknamed ‘Cricket’, could gain vitality. Cricket instantly grabbed the bottle and grabbed all the food, after which the fleas were removed and she seemed extremely active and cheerful.
That night, the young woman slept peacefully in her warm bed, accompanied by a brown teddy bear that served as a coat. Cricket was recovering well after a few days of around-the-clock specialist care, eating and gaining weight like a champ.
The little kitten demanded a lot of attention from the moment she arrived at the rescue center, and she freely indicated what she wanted at that moment.
Sweet Cricket insisted on having a teddy bear by her side 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All he wants to do when his adoptive mother is away is be around his favorite toy.
Missy expressed herself in the following way:
“She is in love with her teddy bear. She has been with him since the day she was rescued and accompanies him everywhere. Her teddy bear keeps her company while she sleeps and makes her feel safe.
Cricket’s best friend is his teddy bear, who hugs him whenever he wants a hug or when his mother is away. When the girl was ready to receive the injections, she took her closest friend to the vet’s office.
Cricket held on to his teddy bear the entire time he was there, which provided him with a sense of security and eased his transition.
Missy continued.
She is really lovely and caring. When she is tired, she loves to hug her foster mother, and when she is awake, she likes to play with her. He just wants to be with his family.
She insists on having every cuddle party with her favorite teddy bear, even when she goes out or hangs out with her human friends. Each day, the girl’s activity level increases as she matures and enters the stage where her individuality emerges.
Missy continued:
“She is becoming more outgoing and likes to run and play. He has learned how entertaining toys can be.
Cricket has become an active young panther since he was rescued as a newborn, but certain things remain the same.
