Many people were left without homes and belongings after the Layton Meadows apartment burned down. Despite Ryanna and Kyrie’s loss of possessions, they were more concerned about their missing cat Spike than anything else.
“He is more than just a pet. He is our baby,” Kyrie said.
“I love this cat with all my heart. This cat means the world to me,” Ryanna said.
The firefighters rescued Bugsy, but sadly, the firefighters could not locate Spike. “Spike had disappeared, and we couldn’t find him. We thought he may have died or been hurt,” Ryanna said.
The sisters had been assuming the worst since the fire four days earlier. Even so, they did not give up on Spike and continued to wait for him every day.
