His silent plea for help touched my heart and I couldn’t help but feel, a surge of sympathy for this unfortunate creature As I offered him some food. He rubbed his head against my hand and purred softly in gratitude clearly trying his best to win our favor and earn food. Although intelligent and resilient his life was clearly full of hardship and sadness.
Together with a friend we gave him food and water which he greedily drank with tears streaming down his face. This little cat had been through so much loneliness and grief that we were determined to give him a better life. We decided to entrust him to a rescue group that could provide him with the help he needed in his new forever home. The once shy cat seemed overwhelmed and scared of the sudden change that was probably too much for him to handle.
I placed a bowl of food in front of him to assure him that the days of rummaging through the trash for leftovers were a thing of the past from that moment on. This cat no longer had to endure the hardships of life on the streets, he now had a family and we were his new parents. This once lonely and sad cat would now find joy and comfort in the care of a loving family.
